By banding together and forming an alliance, we can accomplish what none of us could alone.
Even though a union is impractical for independent contractors, NAP allows us to band together in an innovative way. With all the benefits of a union, we can collectively bargain, and even go on strike against insurance companies, if needed. This will give us the leverage we need to receive fair compensation.
Because we're a trade association, not a union, we are unbound by the laws that restrict unions. This allows us to advocate more freely. We plan to aggressively advocate and push lawmakers to do the right thing. Let's face facts, our system requires massive lobbying efforts to get laws that favor us instead of huge insurance companies. Instead of getting stuck insisting this isn't the way it should be, we're simply going to do what is necessary to create the change we need.
At National Alliance of Practitioners, we are guided by a set of core values that drive our actions and decisions. These values include strength through unity, integrity, and collaboration. We believe in upholding these values in all our interactions with members, partners, and stakeholders.
We will offer a range of programs and initiatives aimed at supporting the growth and development of members' practices. Programs we plan to offer include access to the largest network of practitioners ever, mentorship, training, and access to funding and resources. We also plan to organize events and conferences to facilitate networking and knowledge-sharing among members.
We collaborate with a range of organizations and stakeholders to advance the interests of our members and promote business stability and growth. The partnerships we focus on building are with government agencies, industry associations, academic institutions, and other key players in healthcare.
